Fellowship of Christian Artists
WELCOME HOME!

"Fellowship of Christian Artists" is a group of Christian singers, speakers, songwriters and musicians who are willing to help one another in their work for the Lord by promoting one anothers' Ministries in addition to their own, therefore reaching out even more to spread the Word of The Gospel. Our members love the Lord, and love to serve Him. If you are looking for someone to sing or speak for an engagement, please consider one of our Artists. God Bless.

LETTER FROM HOME         February 2, 2010
Thought I would use this space to connect with our Artists and Artist supporters. We are so excited about what the Lord has given us to do! My brand new Board of Advisors consists of Jerry Jones, Wayne and Barb Porter with Walking Miracle Ministries, and Thom and Deb Slaughter, with Second Wind Ministries. These were chosen because of their good hearts and willingness to help me and the Artists.
Both of our "Annual Fellowship of Christian Artists Gospel Fests" have a location now! The first concert, held on Friday, April 23, will be held at Elkton Church of God, 1121 Singerly Road, Elkton, MD, 21921 from 7-9 PM. The second will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 7 South King St., Georgetown, Delaware, Saturday, April 24, at 7PM.  A primary goal of FCA is to bring the Artists together, to strengthen them, and to help them, along with them helping one another. Two Artist Benefit Concerts (or "Annual Fellowship of Christian Artists Gospel Fests") will give the Artists a better chance to recover their traveling expenses, or help with other Ministry costs, and a better chance to be seen and heard by those who may want them to Minister in their Church or other venue. The two concerts will be held the same weekend. Artists who wish to come can take part in one concert or both. We do need to know asap what Artists will be taking part for advertising purposes. I and some others are checking into economical places for you to stay, but still please work on that yourselves also.

We have many potential new Artists who have requested the paperwork to become members! I will be adding them once I receive their membership forms back in the mail. We have 3 new members who will be added very soon. Be looking for them. Also, check out our new Artists of the Month. It could be you.

What's New!  (This is a repeat, but I couldn't bring myself to replace it yet, it is so wonderful, and just what we need to hear, but read on for further information after this scripture.)
This isn't "new" , but very old, as in about the year 681 B.C., but still so precious today. I found this scripture while searching for something else. Can't even remember what the other thing was that I was searching for now, so I guess this was IT! It is from the wonderful book of Isaiah. Isaiah was a prophet, some think the greatest prophet of all times. A prophet is desribed in my Bible as a messenger for God, or a speaker for God. Isaiah 41:9-14 " I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said "You are my servant; I have chosen you and not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear, I will help you."
Thank You God, for loving us and for being our God, and for helping us.

          NEED TO KNOW
We know the need the Artists have to gain venues to share their music, and will help in any way we can. We (Jerry and I and others) get phone calls often asking for help with contacts, and we are glad to help out. We all need to remember to have our presentation be the very best, vocally and professionally, as we can possibly make it. Ask a good friend you trust what improvements you could make. We all have room for improvement. Pray beforehand, dress impeccably, be kind, open and loving to every single person you come in contact with at a concert, or anywhere, for that matter. Shake hands, hug necks, you never know who might see Jesus in you and ask you to come back, or to come to a Concert at their church or festival. Never be "standoffish" or distant. Even if it is out of your comfort zone, be an open door to conversation, questions, praying for a special need. Put together benefit concerts in your area. Help your neighborhood. There are so many needs out there right now, it would be easy to find an individual or organization that a few hundred dollars (or thousand dollars) in love offerings would help enormously. It would also mean you would get to sing for the Lord!! Have the best equipment possible. It is too important to take chances that it "might be OK".
Let us help one another in the quest to serve our wonderful God, sending a contact to a fellow artist for a concert we are unable to make, or inviting an artist to join you for a concert so he/she can be heard also. As it tells us in Phillipians Chapter 2, verses 3 and 4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

We have $164.00 in our Artist Assistance Fund. Enough to help with an electric bill or heating bill, or gas or diesel, if needed. All of the money that comes to me goes in this fund for the Artists, not including myself or our Ministry, Jerry Jones Ministries. My dear Artists, please remember that the Fellowship of Christian Artists not only helps with booking opportunities by giving you website coverage, but we are also here if you have a need, whether it be Spiritually, financially, physically, or any need that we have the ability to help with. Our Artist Assistance Fund is rather small right now because we are so new, but we will do whatever we can to help you with a need. You can call any board member or myself for prayer, or other needs. We are here for you. Please read Acts Chapter 4, verses 32 through 37. Our purpose is to share what we have and what we accumulate, as much as we are able. God wants me to tell you that He loves you so much, and that He is proud of you, and to thank you for serving Him. Thank You Lord, for your guidance!  I plan to write a new letter Friday of each week.  Pray that I won't forget. Also, pray for all of our Gospel Artists who work so hard for Him, and want to work even harder, and please pray for our troops, and our country. God Bless. I love you all, with all my heart. Jeannie Jones, Overseer, Fellowship of Christian Artists  P.S. We are steadily having "hits" to our website. That means the website is being visited, and by people from many different states. "Thank You Lord"!

If you would like to contribute to the "Fellowship of Christian Artists", you can call any Board member as listed below, or send your contribution to Jeannie Jones, P.O. Box 1244, Seaford, DE, 19973. At the present time, any checks or money orders should be made out to Jeannie Jones. All donations go in the "Artist Assistance Fund", to be used to help Artists who are in need. The use of these funds is determined by the Board of Advisors. One of the main objectives and a primary reason FCA was initiated, was to help Christian Artists. If you are an Artist and have a need, please contact Jeannie Jones 302-228-4813 or any Board member, Wayne or Barb Porter 302-241-1620, Thom or Debbie Slaughter 302-690-8908, or Jerry Jones 302-249-0420.
